Durham will host the UK Recovery Walk 2015.
Congratulations to the winning bidders Durham Recovery Forum. The announcement took place at the UKRW Charity’s AGM and Host Winner’s Party in the Brink Liverpool on 19th of July 2014.
Durham beat Bristol as the host city for 2015, after receiving 80% of the members’ votes.
Congratulations to Durham for winning the bid, and commiserations to Bristol, who submitted a fantastic bid but was pipped to the post.

David Dakan, Vice-Chair of GMRF, said: “Congratulations to Durham on winning the bid for the walk in 2015. I’m sure after UK Recovery Walk Greater Manchester, Durham will no doubt carry the recovery message successfully onwards and upwards.”
Dot Turton, of Durham Recovery Forum, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the bid and to be the hosts of the Walk in 2015. A lot of people have put a lot of time and effort in to our bid, and winning means that we can develop the tremendous work already taking place in the recovery movement in Durham even futher, and celebrate our acheivements and make recovery even more visible.”
