Over the last few years, here in the UK, recovered people have taken significant strides in ‘putting a face on recovery’.
Its now time to hear your voice too.
Faces & Voices of Recovery UK is part of a world wide policy advocacy movement that is taking on issues of discrimination, social justice and service access.
Our community is now mobilising to work for changes that will benefit the social, emotional, financial and physical needs of people, families and allies of recovery. Individuals and organisations are singing up every day, please join us.
The UK Recovery Walk is an opportunity for us to announce our presence, increase our visibility and gain strength in order to mobilise and organise our community into action. It is our wish to see thousands of people turn out for recovery across the nation as part of Septembers recovery month, in walks all over the UK but at the national walk this year (2015) in Durham we will celebrate with people in recovery, their families, friends and allies who are now healthy and well, taking part again in all aspect s of life and helping each other to celebrate their growing visibility and sustain their recovery.
We want the members individuals or organisations of Faces & Voices of Recovery UK to help us provide diversity of opinion, influence, expertise and participation. Find out more about what we hope our members will bring to the charity here.
Being a member also means as a member you get to vote what town or city will host each years UK Recovery Walk.
