We are delighted to share the official brochure for the 2025 UK Recovery Walk and Conference, taking place in Wolverhampton on 12–13 September 2025.
This year marks a historic first: the Walk comes to the Black Country. Together with our local partners – Good Shepherd, SUIT (Service User Involvement Team), Recovery Near You, and Wolverhampton City Council – we are proud to host two days of celebration, connection, and community.
The brochure sets out everything you need to know, including:
- The Recovery Walk: a two-mile public parade through Wolverhampton, with an adapted route for those with mobility needs.
- The Recovery Village at West Park: live music, family activities, food vendors, arts, theatre, and stalls from recovery organisations.
- The Conference: “I Can’t, We Can – Community and Unity in Addiction Recovery,” hosted at Molineux Stadium with inspiring speakers, lived experience voices, and leading academics.
- Stories of hope: powerful testimonies from Chris, Jason, Sarah, and others who show what recovery makes possible.
- Art in Recovery: exhibitions and creative workshops led by the Good Shepherd art group with Arts Council England support.
- Practical information: travel details, accessibility, FAQs, and ways to get involved.
The UK Recovery Walk has grown since 2009 into the largest event of its kind in Europe. Every year, thousands of people walk together to make recovery visible, challenge stigma, honour those lost, and call for real investment in treatment and recovery support.
We invite you to read the brochure, share it widely, and most importantly – join us in Wolverhampton this September to walk with pride and with love.
